Seydou DOUMBIA, Director of UCRC delivering the Assetou\u2019s certificate <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It is this Tuesday, March 12, 2019 that the first symposium of the African Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics (ACE-B) closed its work at the Regional centre of Solar Energy (CRES), in a general enthusiasm of the participants who welcomed the opportunity of this Meeting that allowed them to share experiences in bioinformatics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This first symposium, which took place over 2 days of intense training, focused on the theme: &#8220;Bioinformatic for global healh: bioinformatics for global health&#8221;. In his closing speech, Pr. Mahamadou DIAKITE, representing the Rector of the USTTB, appreciated the conviviality of the working atmosphere during these 2 days of exchange and training. He described the symposium as useful for young students in the phase of becoming future bioinformatics researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He thanked the Director of ACE-B, Pr. Mamadou WELE, for his commitment to promote the center that already houses the 3rd promotion of the master in Bioinformatics. &#8220;If the Centre achieves the assigned objectives it is also thanks to the financial efforts of the University Clinical Research Center (UCRC) through its Director, Prof. Seydou Doumbia. Let him be thanked, &#8220;he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the work, certificates were awarded to the participants. The Best Poster Award goes to a woman named Assetou Diarra. According to Pr. Doulaye Demb\u00e9l\u00e9, the criteria of choice related to the contents of the articles, the quality of the presentations, the scientific context, and the answers to the questions of the assistance, he concluded. Assetou Djon\u00e8gu\u00e9 Diarra, PhD student in molecular entomology at the Malaria Research and Training Center, is a biologist.
