Professor Ogobara Doumbo was co-founder of the world-renowned &#8220;Malaria Research and Training Center&#8221; and winner of the 2013 Inserm International Prize. He died in Marseille on June 9 at the age of 63.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Ogo&#8221;, as the soldiers of the fight against infectious diseases affectionately called him, was respected for its commitment to malaria. &#8220;For me, malaria has always been a tragedy,&#8221; he confied in the World Africa in early May.
