It was within this state-of-the-art infrastructure that the very first cases of COVID-19 were identified in Mali in March 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This laboratory possesses an immense capacity for diagnosing pathogens, particularly emerging threats, including viruses with high epidemic potential. Today, drawing on the experience gained during the Ebola and coronavirus crises, the laboratory does not just test\u2014it decodes.
