Chaired by UCRC Director Prof\nSeydou Doumbia, with the deputy Director, Prof. Mahamadou Diakit\u00e9, this meeting\nwhich aimed to make contact with new employees, gathered around sixty\nparticipants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his presentation, Prof Doumbia enumerated the\ndifferent goals of the center. \u201cDevelop and maintain the UCRC as a sustainable\nentity capable of conducting excellent clinical research; Facilitate the\ntraining and development of the next generation of clinical research scientists\nand professionals; Generate knowledge, disseminate research results and promote\nthe utilization of findings, are the main goals of the center\u201d, he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The UCRC employs\n176 people and lead 15 projects (PREVAC, IVCC, ICEMR, NOVARTIS KAE609, DFG\nJENA, M. AFRICANIUM, D43 (HIV and mycobacterial), EDTCP (DIAMA), U54-C THAN,\nSTART, EID, D2EFT, R03 (Mali 12), CANCER, MALI09 (PhD THESIS).
