The Communication Office of the University Clinical Research Center (UCRC) at the University of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako (USTTB) has just marked a major milestone with the broadcast of its WEB TV’s very first television news program (JT). This new digital information channel is entirely dedicated to popularizing the major scientific and medical breakthroughs achieved within the institution, as well as highlighting its social and humanitarian initiatives.
Through this first edition, the WEB TV shines a spotlight on the technological progress and discoveries made by the university’s researchers. In particular, it emphasizes cutting-edge infrastructures, such as high-level genomic sequencing processes, which have been praised for their excellence by international partners.
The key objectives of the UCRC WEB TV are:
- Informing the public: Making science accessible to everyone by explaining the direct impact of research on public health, fighting misinformation or fakenew.
- Valuing researchers: Highlighting the expertise and know-how of Malian scientific teams and the USTTB.
- Strengthening partnerships: Sharing the results of joint projects conducted with global institutions, such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
This inaugural news broadcast lays the foundation for a modern and dynamic communication strategy, which is essential to promoting the reach of Malian scientific research both nationally and internationally.
